teckgeck.com 5th anniversary + 1st Ko-fi Goal reached!
1st July 2025Has it really been 5 years since I created teckgeck.com? The time sure does fly…
It’s funny, as teckgeck.com was only meant to be an alternative to Linktree, I wanted to design my own URL buttons and have a custom domain. I knew Linktree wasn’t worth it at the time and opted to make my site on a whim, which kickstarted my interest in UI/UX design and Web development.
I am interested in learning HTML and CSS from scratch at some point; however, I’ve always got stuff in the backlog, so we’ll see if I ever get around to that… ?
Talking about things in the backlog, upon updating Gat-Pon to version 1.0, sometimes I forget how far I’ve come since then; from learning the fundamentals of game development, learning how to export to devices and platforms, registering a Google Play developer account, game advertisement, created/managed my first VGM OST, and much much more. Solo game devs wear many hats at once!
An item on my bucket list was to have my name in the credits as part of a proper commercial game. Now that I’ve ticked that off my list, I’ve decided I’m going to start work on my next bucket list item is to make a game for consoles!
Unfortunately, GDevelop is not compatible with consoles, so I’ve decided to learn Unity. Now, before you say it, I know that Unity has shot themselves in the foot recently regarding its whole runtime fee fiasco; however, the external tools I wish to use have better support compared to other engines, and it seems easier & lighter to use compared to Unreal.
I’ll continue to use GDevelop for my smaller side projects. I still believe it has massive untapped potential, especially when it comes to building interactive websites, now I’ve just gotta figure out how to convey this information.

TheElusiveRabbit & JackurG for supporting the cause! They helped me fund my GDevelop projects, and in return, they got their names in my game/projects and got behind-the-scenes access to what I’ve been working on!
We have a new goal currently live that relates to porting future games to consoles, so be sure to check out the new goal!

I still can’t believe I built this site 5 years ago, in the middle of the pandemic, even crazier to see how far I’ve come and what I’ve accomplished so far. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has stuck the past 5 years, I’m grateful for what I’ve achieved and the awesome people I’ve met so far.
As for game development, I have MASSIVE plans for the type of games I wish to build, let me tell you! The sketches below may be a hint at what to expect!
