4th July 2025Mostly, what I’m talking about has already been discussed in my previous post, but in the video below, I also mention my overall earnings.
Just a few things to add that I didn’t mention to avoid overloading the video: a lot of content ended up being scrapped due to numerous reasons. I would love to revisit this game idea whether it’s a true sequel or a spiritual successor set in the same universe, whether I return to GDevelop or in the new game engine to make this game is still up in the air. I also want to step away from this for a while after working on this project on and off for almost 3 years.
I also failed to mention that GDevelop also has its own monetisation scheme in place if you host your games on gd.games, though it’s hard to figure out how much your games earn, as there is no way to tell how much they earn individually.
And lastly, I will not be prioritising making games for Google Play in the future either, as Google keep adding complications and barriers which make it super hard for indie developers to make games for it. However, I may make a mobile port of my games if possible. I’m just clarifying that I will no longer make my games for mobile first.
