Portal Birthday Gift [Client work]
23rd March 2026Salutations! I had the pleasure of making a birthday gift for a former retail buddy of mine for his brother’s birthday!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a commission, so it’s nice to be able to get the chance again!
They are a recurring client who have ordered from me in the past (I loosely mentioned them in one of the Sketchdumps). His brother is a massive Portal and Prince fan; the client gave me total freedom to do what I thought was best. Overall, both the client and his brother were super happy with the results!
I included a quote in the art commission using my custom font typeface, TKN Meekla. I notice that whenever I get a chance, it’s my go-to font for giving my art that extra spice. Is it vain to say that I love using a font that I created? In any case, I really need to make another font soon, as my store teckgeck.net is looking pretty sparse at the moment.
