Lulabea’s Bubble Drop 0.9.3 out now!

I normally add a vlog here too, but I messed up my sleeping schedule so for now, no video.

So straight after the game jam ended, I knew that Lulabea needed to be tweaked as the design wasn’t clicking for me, luckily it was a quick fix!
I created Lulabea’s key art back in 2023, but I never animated it till recently. The reason is that I was planning on learning and using Spine 2D to animate Lulabea as GDevelop recently added Spine 2D support! However, I hit many roadblocks such as trying to export the files, long story short, I gave up trying to animate Lulabea in Spine 2D and instead animated the game’s background. I used good ol Moho Pro to animate Lulabea in the end.
I know deep down I should try and use Spine 2D going forward when it comes to animation as it’s animated in real-time and is cost-effective when it comes to the game’s resources, but right now I think animating backgrounds is a start in that regard.
Normally my logos go through several revisions before I can choose which one to continue with, however, I had a very clear idea in my head what I wanted it to look like. Taito’s Bust A Move/Puzzle Bubble was a huge inspiration when making the logo. Maybe sometime in the future, I will also fully animate the logo too!
I haven’t mentioned this in my blogs yet, but I have one brand-new website called TKGK Interactive, it’ll be the go to place for all of my games going forward. The site is still in its infancy, but I have big plans for it in the future!
I also have a brand new Ko-fi page too! It’s kinda empty at the moment but soon its going to be filled with digital goodies such as wallpapers, concept art and much more! Also if you donate a certain amount, your name will be included in all of my games that I upload to Google Play!
This is normally the part of the blog where I give you a hint on what’s next when it comes to my projects, however, my schedule has been all over the place recently and honestly, I don’t even know what’s next!
I still need to get Gat-Pon & my Ratchet & Clank project finished before even thinking of starting a new project, though I am interested in participating in an upcoming GDevelop Game Jam (yes, game jams don’t count as a new project to me). But either way, I’ve always got something to keep myself busy.
