Ratchet & Clank Logos
26th July 2021As stated in the Sonic Riders Logos post, this franchise, amongst others was on my list that would get the redesign treatment.
I created these logos on my Birthday on Stream!
The R&C logos has been through a lot of iterations through the years from the PS2 all the way to the PS5! (I will always have a nostalgic soft spot for the original PS2 Logos ?)
I think the Life of Pie logo had major inspiration on how I designed the logos, especially with how they are coloured. The blue Clank font stands out so well with the orange Ratchet font, the contrast really works in its favour and I wanted to replicate that in the designs.
I actually freehanded the 1st logo whilst using the original PS2 logo as the main source of inspiration, while I used the RG Future font (found at the bottom of this post) as a base to help create the 2nd logo.
As much as I liked the 1st logo, I feel like it could have been executed a lot better, but still happy with how it turned out. Already I can look at the logo and see many different methods of how I would handle it better to yield a better, cleaner result! I might revisit this idea sometime in the future when I am more comfortable with logo designing.

I’m still relatively new to logo design but I’m having a blast learning so much and super excited to make more fan logos with various other franchises!
