TKN Meekla Y2K Sci-fi Font – Out Now!
3rd January 2026Salutations, and Happy New Year! What better way to start the year than to announce a font I first started working on in October last year!
What is Meekla?
TKN Meekla is a bold, futuristic and experimental Y2K-inspired sci-fi glyph display typeface. Meekla was designed to re-capture the early 2000s vibe. Perfect for branding, digital art, posters, gaming interfaces, and any design seeking a retro-futuristic touch.
I even got to flex my GDevelop muscles and made myself a live font tester too!

So why did I get into making fonts?
Well, funny story; I was originally going to hire someone to create this font for me, but just before I decided to make the payment, I changed my mind and decided to make it myself.
I love fictional sci-fi worlds such as Ratchet & Clank and Lilo & Stitch that have their own gliph language; it adds so much character to the world, and I wanted to give it a shot myself. For a first attempt, I’m happy with the result!
I think a font like this will be super useful for my future game development endeavours, as it saves on having to translate a lot of non-important text for my games if I ever did want to translate my games into different languages. The benefit of this is that the font can always be translated back into English if anyone is curious enough.
