Sketchdump #004
19th December 2025Salutations, I wanted to keep these Sketchdumps updates monthly. However, due to leaving my retail job after 7+ years and recently getting a new part-time freelance gig, I’ve been readjusting to my new schedule.
Y2K-inspired Sci-fi font continued
I first started this font back in October this year, and it should be ready to share right now. However, it isn’t quite ready to share just yet. I’m happy with the font itself; it’s just the store, preview app, marketing and everything else that still needs work. Because of this font, I’ve actually revived one of my old characters…

Giving my old Retro Futurism character some love
I first drew Rebia in 2023; she remained just a doodle in my sketchbook for years until I decided to bring her back as the mascot for my Sci-fi font. She is connected to one of the other characters that I haven’t drawn for some time now. Because my font is very alien-looking, I thought an alien character would be the perfect fit for the vibe I was going for.

In the future, I think I will be using a dedicated OC to use as a mascot going forward when making new fonts. It has the benefit of potentially breathing new life into my older characters, which might not get the recognition they deserve.
Miscellaneous Physical Art
I’ve been getting into making physical art, such as disk art, stickers and keyrings for myself and clients. I think that due to AI making digital art so much more saturated than usual at the moment, it makes me wonder why I’ve gone down this route.

More specifically, with disks is that they are essentially USBs; objects that contain digital data, so if I were to ever sell my stuff at conventions, I could put my content on them, such as fonts, games, music, wallpapers and more.
I think CDs and DVDs are making a comeback right now, and external disk drives are also relatively affordable.

I’ve also redone my commissions page. It’s still pretty busted since I migrated the site, but the basic pricing has been set.
End of the year conclusion
This year has gone scarily quickly. I still have work from this year I want to share, but I think that will be slowly revealed in early 2026.
I’ve achieved a lot this year, such as finishing a 3-year-old game, experimenting with merch and most importantly, having the courage to leave my 7+ retail job to pursue bigger and better things. I want to start working on my next game asap as soon as I’ve wrapped up all the loose ends.
I hope everyone enjoys themself over the Christmas period. I’ll see everyone next year!
P.S.
My custom navigation blocks are busted, so have these instead:
