Ecosphere Drift [Client Work]
21st August 2026Salutations! I had the privilege of making a track called “Ecosphere Drift” for Red Dasher for his mod, Dr Robotnik’s Ring Racers. Fun fact: this is my very first commission when it comes to composing a music track for someone, and it’s been really fun!
I’ve actually done work for Red Dasher in the past, so this wasn’t our first time collaborating — more on that below.
On a related note — I’ve played SRB2Kart before, the game that came before Ring Racers, and I remember having a really good time with it. I’ve been saying for a while that I should give Ring Racers itself a go, and honestly, there’s no better time than now.
About the Track
It took a while to get the video for this one published — I’m still getting used to my new Mac workflow and a different video editing setup, but I think I’m finally settling into it.
For the album art itself, rather than starting from scratch, I went back to an old Red Dasher commission I’d done featuring his character, Dash, and reworked it for this track.
Both the video and the album art use my own custom font, Meekla, which I designed myself. If you like the look of it, be sure to check it out:
Modded in Sonic CrossWorlds
Red Dasher’s really getting his mileage out of this track, which makes me incredibly happy — he has modded it into Sonic CrossWorlds, and I’ve got to say, I think it really works for this particular track. Maybe Sega should hire me for the future. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.
Thank You, Red Dasher
Big thank you to Red Dasher for commissioning me — not just for the track itself, but for trusting me with my very first paid music commission. I had way too much fun, and this 100% won’t be the last one!

So — anyone else finally getting around to a game they’ve been putting off for way too long? Been meaning to look at my giant game backlog; because of Sony’s recent news, now is the best time I guess…
