Sketchdump #002
24th September 2025Back again, and I’m already doubting naming this blog series “Sketchdump” as most of this post won’t be sketch-related much at all. Regardless of my naming conventions, I have news on what I’ve been keeping myself busy with recently.
Three Wild Stickers Appeared!
At my workplace, I noticed that many of my coworkers like Pokémon, and I wanted to test something with the Kanto Starters, putting my Cricut machine to the test. Because these stickers were received surprisingly well in general, I’ve been asked if I’ll move on to the Johto Starters next. It looks incredibly likely!
VectorHeart/Y2K Headphone design
I kinda dislike that nowadays I have to choose between style and quality; If I pick headphones that look stylish, they tend to break very easily. If I pick a well-known brand of headphones, they generally sound great, but the downside is that they look very bland and plain.
Now with my new machine, I don’t have to compromise between the two and can have both! This is the WIP of the design I’m thinking of. I’m either gonna mirror the design on each ear or have two separate designs, though I’m not sure yet. Be sure to stay tuned and be on the lookout for Sketchdump #003 to see how that goes
The Marsupial T-Shirt Strikes Back!
I gifted my NSane (ily) talented best friend a Crash & Coco Bandicoot T-shirt. I originally designed the shirt for myself, mentioned in the previous Sketchdump post, but I showed it to my friend, and he instantly wanted one too. So I gave it to him as an incredibly late birthday gift!
In his post, he says, “If it weren’t for Crash Bandicoot, I would not have made a connection as I have with my best friend since secondary school”, which is true. I’m glad you have remained my friend for so long, and for the many years of friendship and lore that we will continue to build! Be sure to give him a follow!
Closing thoughts
There are other things I’ve been working on, though I need to ask my clients and make sure I’m okay to share them (might have to wait till Sketchdump #003 or beyond)
The other day, my brain came up with a solid business plan outta nowhere??? I’ve been told that my job idea is very hard to get off the ground. They never said it was impossible though.
That defiance in me makes me wanna pursue it even more!
The wicked idea I mentioned in the previous Sketchdump post is that I’ve made yet another website called teckgeck.net; this website will be my dedicated space for anything merch-related. I’m planning on keeping it to stickers and small items only for the time being, but we’ll see if I expand to other items in the future. Be sure to sign up for the email list on the site with possible discounts sent to your inbox when we launch!
Also, teckgeck.net will not just be a merch shop, but something else too, but that’s all I’ll leave you for now
